There is no password reset
Not a limitation we are working on — a consequence of how the accounts work.
Creating a URLVanish account asks for a username and a password and nothing else — no email address, no phone number, no personal details. That is the point of the service, but it also means nobody here can verify your identity, and so nobody here can recover the account for you.
Your existing short links keep working. They are not deleted and they do not stop redirecting because you cannot sign in. What you lose is the dashboard view of them, so note down any short links you still need before creating a new account.
If you have lost access, the only way forward is a new account.
Looking for the password on a link?
That is a different thing. A password-protected short link has its password set by whoever created the link, and only they can tell you what it is. We cannot look it up, reset it, or reveal where the link goes — that is what makes the feature worth having. Ask the person who sent you the link.
If you think a link is being used for something harmful, report it instead. Reports are read and acted on.
